First I would like to wish my readers, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Okay so, my classmates and I were required, to come up with a theme of accessory collection for a fashion online store! I created my accessories based on Medusa, because I love reading Greek mythology and is fascinated by Medusa’s snake hair and powerful stone glance!
The reason why I chose a black, snake-skin clutch, is because black represents Medusa’s loneliness in her cave, with only lifeless, stone statues to accompany her. The “snake” strap is inspired by snakes coiling together, I twisted the chains and used the fishing string to maintain its shape so that the coiled “snake” chain will appear more realistic.
The reason why I created a necklace as a compliment object, it is because I know that working ladies would find, wearing a bracelet will be too noisy, while typing or writing. Earrings would hurt their ear, while they place their phone closely to their ear.
Few weeks ago, While I was on a school assignment, I spotted a small cafe called I am.. at the “entrance” of Haji Lane. I decided to stop by and have a look at the attractive cakes! The rainbow cake, appeared very appetizing so I decided to dine in and ordered a slice of it, which cost SGD$8.90! All the cakes cost the same amount of money. Rather pricey! For a rather thin slice of cake!
I did not like the rainbow cake, because I thought, that different layers of cake, have different flavors, besides it was quite hard to chew on, and too much cream on the cake!
I was not satisfied with the rainbow cake! So I order a slice of their carrot cake. The carrot cake is made with walnut, grated carrot and raisins. Hopefully, I remember it correctly. Anyway, the carrot cake tasted WAY BETTER than the rainbow cake! I LOVE their carrot cake, I recommend my readers to try their carrot cake! It is soft and irresistible!
I also tried their red velvet cake, it tasted the same as the rainbow cake! Hard to chew and too much cream! Recently, I am… is offering more appetizing cakes, such as, the rainbow crepe, Strawberry Heaven Mille Crepe, Holland‘s pride and the Dutch Apple Pie! It is worth your effort to go down to Haji Lane and have a slice of cake and a cold beverage in this humid country.
So I saw and heard that people around town, are talking about how good Smoothie King are and people in town, are at least holding a cup of Smoothie King instead of Starbucks, I decided to try it myself, since it looks appetizing and have that cool American style!
You can choose whether you want your smoothie to be a antioxidant type of smoothie, a muscle builder smoothie, multi vitamin smoothie or even a smoothie, that will make your skin complexion look good! You can choose from six types of good benefits, to go along with your smoothie.
A medium sized smoothie costed me about SGD $7 plus. I tried the Almond Banana, diet down smoothie. It tasted a bit funny, because they did not blend the almond, banana and the diet down “stuff” they put in. The smoothie I chose is suppose to stop my cravings for food, and make me lose some weight!
The smoothie is thick and creamy, I personally do not like it, as it make me very full after gulping down the whole cup of diet smoothie. I recommend my readers to choose the smallest cup instead, if it is your first time, trying Smoothie King.
Smoothie King is located at 313 Somerset, opposite the escalator to the mrt station. It is also available at Centre Point and Suntec City!

I was required to come up with a few sketches of Avant-grade gowns for an school assignment, I could only draw these few sketches in a short time before the due date! Panic! I decided to spent my whole weekend, drawing, coloring and editing. Although, it was quite stressful, but I enjoyed every second of it! It was all worth it, even if my designs is not chosen.
My inspirations, came from the elegance of a phoenix, plants, forest, blue and gold color of ancient Egypt, coffin, deep-sea color, Chinese calligraphy, Swarovski crystals, cubes and fire!
My famished friends and I, decided to try a western restaurant, Astons at Scape. Since my friends said that the food there is reasonable, I decided to give it a go, since I only have $20 in my purse! The atmosphere was lively, filled with young and loud people. The theme of the restaurant is beautifully decorated with the retro looks of America!
My friends, ordered the steak with mac and cheese, /steak with onions rings and vegetables as a side dish, while I ordered the fish fillet burger($5.90), plus a hot milk ($1.80). I thought that my fish fillet burger, plus a cup of hot milk was going to be quite filling, but I was wrong! The burger was small for a famished person like me, but the burger did taste crispy and delicious! The milk was surprisingly sweet, I thought the milk was going to be all disgusting and milky, but it was sweet! I love it! The root beer float ($3.90) was awesome! Needless to say, my friends all seems full and satisfied with the food!

Hua Yu Wee Seafood is located, at 462 Upper East Coast Rd. If you search on Google for the opening hours, it only says that it open on weekdays, from 11am – 8pm. I think Google is wrong, because I went there last Sunday and it was open!
Hua Yu Wee Seafood, originally was a private bungalow, now it has covert into a non-air-conditioned restaurant, for seafood lovers! The crab is well-known there. The food offered by Hua Yu Wee is SUPER DELICIOUS and totally worth your money! Rumour says that it is even better than Jumbo seafood located at Dempsey Hill!
The prawn dish is unique as the meat is sweet!
The hor fun noodle is TASTY but a little bit salty for me!
The mee goreng is a little savoury but still DELICIOUS! Will definitely try the mee goreng again if it was near my home area!
The longan jelly dessert, is HEAVENLY! It contain fresh longans, osmanthus flower, lemongrass jelly and a ball of ice on top. One scoop of the longan dessert, makes me feel, like I am resting at the lounge of a luxury spa centre, with sweet air floating around in an air-conditioned room! SWEET and REFRESHING! A MUST TRY DESSERT!!
Overall, the feast definitely made my mouth HAPPY!
A feast containing 2 crabs, 3 dishes, a pot of hot tea and 2 dessert for 4 person can cost about one hundred++ SGD dollars! TOTALLY WORTH IT!
